We now have two new Volunteer teams. Although currently small these teams do vital work for the centre and need more help and more people to join.

Fundraising Team

The idea behind this team is to raise money by organising fundraising events (anything from cake sales to art auctions). This money will go towards the less mainstream events which we wish to develop at the Centre. Good organisational Skills, ideas and a bit of time to spare. Why not get involved. The first meeting of this group has now taken place and we are going to organise a car boot sale with proceeds going to a new film night at the Rising Sun. Volunteer co-ordinator

We currently have a particular need for someone to help with co-ordinating our volunteer support. This would involve sending out regular newsletters keeping volunteers informed of what’s going on, keeping the volunteer database updated and helping to organise social events for volunteers.

We are also putting together a small team of volunteers to help with marketing the events and projects which go on at the centre. If you would like to be part of a friendly team of people based here at the centre and helping us to fulfil a real need then get in touch.

Programming Group

The Rising Sun programming group is always looking for new people to help with programming at the centre. We aim to promote a diverse and original programme of high quality live music not catered for elsewhere in the town. We do not hire out the centre for private parties but if you have an interesting idea for a public event please contact us. Click here to Email the Programming Group
