Zapato Caliente

A latin dance group run by Larry Watson and Adriana Quintero, this group has performed many times in and around Reading. They frequently run dance lessons and workshops at the centre. If you wish to get involved or want more information, please contact Larry on 0118 9866788

Club Velocity

Usually the 4th Fri look out for occasional other dates. Club Velocity has been happening at the Rising Sun since March ’03 hosting the likes of Bloc Party (Before anyone cared – the band still claim it as one of their favourite venues), Elle Milano, Help She Can’t Swim, New Rhodes (top 40 stars) and so on. The Mail on Sunday showed up once. Chris Hufford (Manager of Radiohead/Supergrass) paid to get in and loved the centre. John Moore (Ex Jesus and Mary Chain) has been down once or twice. It’s been fun and still amazed that anyone shows up each month.
